I received email the day after shopping at Walmart. The email thanked me for my visit to the store and asked me to complete a survey. If I completed the survey I would be entered into a chance of a gift card. I completed the survey and submitted it. After thinking, I contacted Walmart Corporate to ask if this was from Walmart. Walmart said they do not send surveys and do not offer gift cards. They suggested I contact FTC and BBB. Sunday I shopped Walmart again, and Monday I received another Survey Request. I contacted Walmart and they said they do not send out surveys.
I never received these survey requests until I started using their new system to pay using Walmart Pay and scanning the QR code at the register. I have sent my concern back to Walmart, that I think they have a computer security problem that will impact customers.
