Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
I Received a letter and a check in the mail for the amount of $1,991.55. The letter was an acceptance letter to become a secret shopper for various businesses such as The Gap, Walmart, Pizza Hut and others. The letter tells me to not accept my 1st assignment until I have deposited the check and withdrawn the amount except for my portion of $350.00. Needless to say I did not deposit the check but went ahead and clicked on my assignment. The first assignment tells you to send the money to a person in Paris France. The second assignment tells you to send the money to Atlanta, Atlanta.
