Type of a scam Phishing
My desktop phone rang, I looked at the caller ID. which read WeatherBug. I answered the phone with the normal greeting stating my business name & Department followed by my first name. The male called asked for me using first and last name. I stated "This is he". The caller said is this "inserted my full name" and I said "yes". The phone went immediately dead. While talking, I heard a very busy atmosphere in the background, sounded like a very active call center. When the line went dead, I immediately looked at the history log on my phone which I tried dialing back, that is how I discovered the phone number of the caller. I also did a reverse phone number lookup on the internet, that is how I found the town and state of the caller.
