My parents engaged with a contractor named Michael Perry of a contractor company named Webuild who worked with a public adjuster to assist with our insurance claim for our roof repaired and replaced. Perry informed us that the insurance claim went through, and insurance had sent my parents a check payable to them and the public adjuster in the amount of over $26K to replace the roof. Perry met with my parents at the public adjuster office and told us that we had to sign over the check so he could pay the public adjuster fee. We followed his instruction to sign over the check completely to him since he said this was the only way the public adjuster could be paid and said he would order materials for the roof. Over the next few months, he said the project was delayed due to weather and promised he ordered materials but we did not receive any. Now, 7 months later, no labor was done at all on our roof and no materials were ever delivered. He stopped responded to our phone calls and emails for the past 6 weeks.
