Type of a scam Debt Collections
Called now as "Weldon Associates" or " R. Weldon Associates". Claimed I was being sued for multiple credit cards that I did not pay..when all were paid in full…Number came up as 00000000 on my cell phone. When I did not answer…they called both my sisters, my brother in law, mother in law, parents, and anyone they could get a hold of telling them THEY NEEDED TO TELL ME RIGHT NOW I WAS BEING SUED AND SOMEONE FILED A COMPLAINT AGAINST ME!
I called and got such the run around. Spoke to a man named "Jordan Cohen" at ext 128. Providede me my full SS#, my address..etc…I couldnt believe the information they knew about me. Demanded full payment for all debt..(in which there was none.) I told them I could send any and all proof these cards were paid in full. He stated do you really want to have to take off a day from work? Just pay what is owed! I said I have no problem taking off work and will provide anything they needed! He didnt seem to like that!
He provided me a fax # of 844-269-9471 Which seems to be the same as above…Also, the number he gave as a callback # was 626-386-3165. when I research this #, it comes back to *** *** In Monrovia, CA
BEWARE! Im looking up now all company names listed above on BBB and will copy and paste exactly what I wrote here. They have assumed a new name and will harrassing unknown people!!
