Type of a scam Phishing

Our auto attendant recorded several calls where there would be a disconnect after a word or two from a female voice. Today I answered a call and the same voice stated, "I’m calling from Welfare services, can you hear me?" To my immediate dismay I responded, "Yes". I was then disconnected. When I called the number back, a recorded message stated that I had reached "Customer Service". My options were to opt our of the call list, and/or speak to a customer rep. I opted out and sought to speak to a rep, but was advised to send an email to: "customer service now @ gmail.com".
