Type of a scam Employment
I received an email response for a job applicant I sent out on Zip Recruiter. They wanted to confirm my address before setting up an initial interview. Once I replied back a few days later I received another email that they are sending me a check and a list of supplies I need to buy to give to a few charities. I never talked to anyone nor even accepted the position. I just wanted to get more information about the job.
This what the job description consisted of when I applied….
Duties:
Administrative/Clerical duties, supervisions and monitoring. Scheduling programs, flights and keeping me up to date with them. Acting as an alternative telephone correspondence while I’m away. Making regular contacts and drop-off on my behalf. Assisting with payroll and monitoring some of my financial activities.
I do not know if this is a scam but it does not seem trustworthy. People should beware.
