I have been receiving numerous phone calls with a caller ID that states my own name and phone number. I finally was home and answered the call. The caller stated that he was from WinMac Solutions, a technology company that helps customers detect fraudulent use of IP address for computers. The caller said he was Mark Wilson with a customer ID 32145. He claimed that someone has been using my IP address to make fraudulent purchases & that he can prove to me if I turn on my computer. He asked me to type in something in the run application box which I did not do. The caller had a thick Indian accent and when I asked where the office was he stated California. When I continued to ask questions and told him that I did not understand him, he began talking louder and getting very short with his voice. When I

asked for an American to come to the phone, another Indian man got on the phone and stated that he is from India but working in the US for only 1 and 1/2 years. He claimed that there were 28 people from India in the office. When I still persisted on speaking to an English representative, I was disconnected from the call. I know this was a fraudulent call but this was scary as they knew my name, address & home phone number. This was not WinMac Solutions and definitely a fraudulent call.

They call you telling you that your computer is infected and calling them essentially, then have you let them fix it. In the end they want money. They claim to have some sort of association with Windows.
