Type of a scam Online Purchase

Myself and my business partner bought a website from Bryan Winstanley after finding his listing on flippa.com. He verified revenue by showing us screenshot of an affiliate portal and related traffic to the site. After setting up escrow, he gave us a link to supposedly sign up for the affiliate program for insurance.com. However, the link he provided was a link to a service where he setup his own affiliate program, posing as insurance.com. We eventually got ahold of insurance.com and verified that the dashboard was not theres, but unfortunately by then we had already released the funds. Moreover, we found out through the real insurance.com that the very little traffic that the site did generate was still generate affiliate revenue for Brian through his own affiliate account with them. However the site only made about $*** over 6 months (he claimed it made ~$*** per month) and we paid $**k for the site. I’ve attached all information I’ve found on him, as well as screenshots of the imposter affiliate portal he used to scam us.

In short, we were scammed into buying a website for $**k that had little to no traffic because he setup a fake affiliate portal and posed as insurance.com (he used their logo and everything).
