Type of a scam Debt Collections
I am getting phone calls from 855-283-4372 threatening to take me to court for a web loan they claim I took out in 2012. They claim they have my bank account and social security number and are going to send court documents to my employer. They will not tell me the name of the company they say I owe $400 to and refuse to send me the loan documents saying that I owe this money. She was trying to get me to allow her to take $590 something out of my checking account. I have taken out pay day loans in the past and they take the money out automatically.
They have not gotten money yet, but I am worried that they might. All I have is the phone number and no other identifying information.
