Man showed up in my driveway on July 27 asking about my satellite TV service. Said he was with XCITE (AT&T company who bought Direct TV) representing both, DISH and Direct TV. He told me ‘they’ encouraged users to switch between services every couple of years. Asked lots of questions about the cost, channels, my preferences, etc. I told him I did not like Direct TV so he gave a an estimate for $49.00 supposedly with my present service, DISH, and free installation of upgraded equipment, but I had to initiate the order by Saturday, July 29. It sounded fishy to me so I called DISH and they did not know anything about it. They said it was someone trying to get my business. So, just a big lie trying to get me to switch to Direct TV.
