Type of a scam Debt Collections
Received a phone call from a very official sounding woman who told me she was from the arbitration and litigation department and that I was a co-applicant on a loan with someone I had never heard of who had the same last name as mine. Said she was going to issue me a summons. Luckily she had the wrong address. Suspected it was a scam and gave her no info. She had the last 4 digits of my SS#.
Called the Phone # listed and disconnected when answered. They called me right back even though be phone # is unlisted.
Talked with the fraud department at my CC company and they confirmed it was/is a scam.
