Peter Warner is one linked to Amazon Prime. If you select to receive a free trial membership, the $1.99 is deducted as a “test” from your account. Then Peter says they need to do 2 more test transactions for $100 & $200 through the “Zelle” App, so they can refund your $1.99. He ends up getting you for $300. Knowing you’re going to flip from the $300 transaction, he asks you to download “Google Pay” where he says he needs to do another $100 test transaction. If you enter anything lower than $100 ( I entered $1) it will decline the “test” transaction.

I received a similar call on Friday around 4:00. This is the time and day I usually get these scammers calls. This one is Peter Warner who sounds like Vishal Hussein from Los Angeles, California 213-770-9088. He called to tell me that my computer is still working slow and it would be best if I replace the computer. I knew of course I did not have an account and I knew when the caller opened his mouth with the Asian accent it was a scam. The caller was pretending to be a Best Buy Geek Squad technician who first stated I paid $349 and when he did not get the response he wanted, before it was over I was to receive a refund of $750. When I asked when will I receive it he said within 24 hrs. He continued to try to entice me to Open and download, run and install AWESUM. I played along with it just to see how far he would go. First I demanded that he gives me my account number. He did not have this information and told me I could get it by clicking CMD-R, OK, type AWESUM, run, download, and install. I pretended to follow his instructions until finally refusing and told him either he gives me the number or get off my phone. When he relented the number he gave was 888-DCA-6OFC0A.

I asked him to send the refund form to me to which he again tried to coerce me to complete the same CMD-R as before.

It was at this time I delivered to him a good old fashion talking about your mother cussing out party on him.

Hung up on him

Called back to check the number

He thought I was calling him back to talk

I gave him a “we are the world” cussing out.

After this I blocked his number.

I didn’t tell you that he actually knew my name which may be because I actually had a Geek Squad account before.

Hopefully I covered everything to make you aware of these scammers .

This company called and said that they wanted to refund $249 because they were leaving the US and moving back to Canada. They said that they had to call me because of ScamPulse.com regulations.

Ethan Parker called me today (about 6 times) to inform me that they were going out of business and had to return everyones money — they were going to send $799. I told him I would not give him my account number and address. I told him I was a nurse and he told me to go to the

hospital’s computer and hit control and a window’s button will pop up and push the letter R at the same time. Then he said he was going to give me my customer ID number 888DCA60FC0A-11CF8F0F00C04FD7D062. It would show up to see who he was – then I could pull my form from there (to get my money back). The form was to fill out my name and personal information — I was not going to do that. He said not to tell anyone because he would lose his job. I called the ScamPulse.com to see if they had any info on this company — they are definitely a scam and I’m going to report them to the FTC.
