I have my car for sale on CL. I was contacted by this person and asked to run a VIN check so they could make sure there was nothing wrong with the car. I told them if they wanted one that I would give them the VIN and they could run it. They argued a bit and I relented. I saw the red flag because of the site I was directed to and them not wanting to pay for a VIN check. I fell for it anyway. Hopefully they just got a little cash and will move on.
