My wife and I were approach by phone about selling our Vidanta timeshare in Mexico. The sale was for $78,600 but we had to pay off the balance owed through Goldman & Aaronson’s escrow company first. We wired $8110 to the Mexican company they said would go the resort to pay off the balance. However, afterwards, they said the “free and clear” certificate was held up at the border and that we had to pay some kind of Custom Clearance ID fee to release the paperwork from Mexico’s SAT (tax) division for $10,218 through Goldman & Aaronson’s escrow account (which they said the buyer would reimburse us afterwards through the trust account). We said we would not send any more money unless they could verify the fee from the SAT. They sent us 2 documents which we sent to Mexico’s SAT through their Facebook page finding out they were fake. When we confronted Goldman & Aaronson with this, they stopped answering our calls and emails.
