We were contacted by International Marketing Group LLC – booking agent’s name is supposedly Mark Anderson – for an offer of a two day cruise from the port of Palm Beach and arriving at the Grand Bahamas Island in the morning for a day on island, then returning to Palm Beach through the night for a morning debarking. Included in the travel were two nights in a Marriott hotel in Fort Lauderdale (before the cruise) and two nights in Orlando after the cruise. When talking to the representative he said that a rental car was included, though when we got the invoice no rental car was listed. The Cruise was supposed to be on either the Grand Classica or the Grand Celebration, which comprise the Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line. The ploy was to make a down payment now and then, when you actually book, pay the rest. The downpayment was $99. There was also an option to pay the full amount up front $596. I should note that airfare and meals off the ship were not covered.
When we initially called back to enquire about details, we did talk to someone and leave a messge for "Mark" to contact us. This never occurred. Follow up attempts to contact them have been completely unfruitful. The web page they set up expired on 10/6 and GoDaddy is willing to sell it.
