I was first contacted last July when my laptop computer froze up. I phone rang, weird yes, but I could get the computer to work. The guy on the phone said he could fix it. At the end I gave him $149 on a credit card. The company called several months later and said there was a virus on my computer that they need to fixed. They scared me by saying someone was using my computer for porn and they needed to remove it or they would have to report me even though it was not me. So I bought the upgrade for $199 in September. A few weeks later they called again with another problem. This time they got me to do a lifetime service for $350. This one came through as Gowebonline.US HTTPsgowebonl Mo on my credit card. They have been calling me all the time now, saying they want to give me a credit. They wouldn’t do it to my credit card, they wanted a debit card or a bank account. By this time I was had. The phone calls come from 800 numbers and numbers all over the country. I am afraid to even answer my phone. When I googled this last website they wanted me to connect to a scam alert came up.

I foolishly clicked on a pop-up for Macroworld Infosys with a flashing message warning me that my computer was compromised. I called the displayed number 884-226-7436. I gave the rep remote control of my computer and he downloaded a trojan virus without my knowledge. I paid him $270 out of my bank account. When I learned I was scammed, a geek friend removed the virus, but I was unable to get my money back.
