Type of a scam Online Purchase
I went in Kijiji and saw French bulldog puppies for sale about $450 cheaper than the usual rate. Claimed to be CKC certified pedigree breeds, but a smaller family breeder. I reached out to them and we talked back and forth at length about the puppies available, why they are selling them for cheap, etc. I asked a list of questions after saying I am interested but they dodged me asking for registration number to look up in the CKC website. They asked for a deposit to be etransferred. They gave me the Facebook page (it is one month old, no reviews or followers, has a random address in the middle of nowhere in my province And completely did not match the other address they provided, and said the dogs are AKC certified (which is the American standard). I looked up the email and phone number and it is a Quebec number, but both those contacts showed up in a variety of classified ads online selling pets, exotic breeds, as well as from a variety of different US states. My partner texted them too and they gave entirely different information based off his questions/ requests, even that they would deliver… again, asking for a deposit up front. Another suspicious thing is the same day I texted them they pulled their ad from Kijiji, and it seemed to include other puppies in the litter than what the texted me or had on their FB page.
