The online company One Mic Magazine contacted me in regards to music shared and produced by my team and I, in which they came across and enjoyed. They offered an opportunity to open for big artist saying they work as show production managers selecting artists to fill performance slots for a small fee. At first I was reluctant to have to pay to perform live, but in the description of the showcase and all the included factors of the "package" they offered, I decided why not, it wouldn’t hurt. They charged an initial fee for the slots to perform, and then before the time of the first performance, they sent a fraudulent insurance paper with info on a "required commercial liability insurance refundable fee". Granted in hosting your own events you would need this, but in being a showcase, this necessity should already be taken care of, so never fall for that trick. It turns out, they had no affiliation with the live performances that they had offered slots to, and suddenly became far absent in communication when it came time for the event. All in all, they scammed me of over $576 in total, then there after, promising me a full refund, which up until now (10 days later) they haven’t followed through on. Now that I have completely finished them giving any benefit of doubt, I am reporting them as a fraudulent want-to-be magazine company business who needs to look towards actual ways of making income rather than succoring aspiring college student musicians who already have to deal with car payments, rent, and college fees. All in all, the "manager" of this company targeted me heavily, and I need my hard earned money back from these people. Thank you ScamPulse.com
