Type of a scam Government Grant
The caller informed me that I had been selected to receive a payment of $9000 from the US Federal Govt. All I had to do was either provide my bank info for deposit, a credit card number to secure or pick up the check from Walmart, CVS, etc.
The money was mine to keep and I did not have to pay it back. I called the person a scammer, hung up and blocked the number.
