They call and tell you that you win a grant in the amount of $9200. They need you to call back to verify your transaction ID number to 518-418-7954 or 646-653-4188. They ask you to go to a store and get a card and put $198 dollars on it. Then they ask you to take it to a bank to retrieve the money.

The caller told me he was calling about a government grant that I applied for. I told him I did not apply for a grant. He told me I heard wrong and it was about offering me the ability to apply for a government grant. The caller eventually told me he had recorded the conversation, told me I was a liar, called me the worst kind of person, told me I was going to hell and mocked me when I asked to talk to his supervisor.
