I was researching a vehicle’s history using the VIN number prior to purchasing the vehicle. I purchased a report online to check the vehicle’s history using vehiclehistory.us.org
The company has charged my credit card every 2-3 weeks since the original purchase date each time for $19, and when I realized this I called the company. They replied that I need to email them at [email protected] to get my information removed. So I emailed them. No response. A few days later, I called and they took my name, email address and last four digits of the credit card number, and stated they would email me soon with a confirmation of the cancellation. I waited a few days… no email received. I called again, got the same voice, and they gave me the same story. I have since called my bank to report fraudulent activity, dispute the charges, and cancel my credit card. They come up as NJ vehicle reports, vinuaslookup.com, and vehicle history us org on my credit card statement. The website seems very vague and it is very difficult to get any kind of response from anyone. I feel that this has been a scam. Beware!
