Type of a scam Tech Support

pop up box on computer stated computer was locked and possible threat to credit cards, personal info.

pop up stated that we had to call the number posted for help. Person had a Indian accent and could not understand him, sound like he said something about windows then we were transfered to vap techs. Not being very savvy about computers they strong armed us into a so called security deal that included fixing the computer. they would not just fix it. because of our ignorance we agreed to a contract because we were at their mercy. they then took over our computer loading and unloading info. they loaded there own programs not published and accredited software, which I believe is illegal. They then wanted to pick a check up via Fed-x for the price of the contract. I have refused so far but they are getting very nasty and are beginning to threaten me. I emailed them within 3 days to cancel but said I can’t cancel. I have contacted authorities in southlake tx and dallas ga where I live. Both feel it is a scam. I have not officially started the police report yet.
