Last week during the Thanksgiving holiday a virus appeared on my laptop. As instructed I called the number, 844-335-1210, and paid $149.99 with my debit card to have the virus removed. I realized afterwards it was a scam and contacted my bank who is now investigating on my behalf. The laptop has since been inspected. Several questionable files were found and removed.
