Type of a scam Employment
The scammer contacted me via text and did not state the reason for their text until after I responded. They advised they reaching out regarding a "Customer service/Data entry, etc" job I had applied to, which was impossible since I had not applied to any jobs. Since they said my resume was reviewed and approved, I initially expected they may have just come across one of my many job seeker profiles. I asked them to confirm where the application was submitted from and instead of answering me, they advised the position was WFH(work from home) and it paid $35.05 per hour. This is when I knew it was a scam. When pressed for a detailed description of the position, they were unable to provide one. I said I was concerned regarding this outreach, and that’s when they attempted to call me. They then followed up saying they were "too busy" which is why they reach out via text.
