Yesterday i received an error on my home computer to call a number immediately that my computer had been infected with a virus. I contacted the number 1-855-701-4074 and was told that i did not have security on my network and after a long conversation was told that for $299.00 they could fix the error immediately and for a 3 year contract i would be secured and have support for the cost of $1,058.50. Unfortunately i fell for this and it has ended up costing me approximately $1,400.00. I gave them access to my computer and put the costs on a credit card. The company Vmak Services is whom i spoke with and the product they sold me is Virus Eraser Antivirus Tech Support. I just want to know if this is legitimate or if i just learned an expensive lesson.
