Type of a scam Fake Invoice/Supplier Bill
I received a phone call on 4/28/17 from a local number- this person left a voicemail stating his name was "Trevor from Wayfair.com business department" He states he had "questions about my recent purchase". I have NEVER purchased anything from Wayfair.com, I immediately knew it something was not right. He proceeded to tell me to call back but left a 844 number to return the call. I call the number out of curiosity, a generic recording played (never stating a business name or any actual information) and told me to stay on the line. I hung up. The numbers are not associated with wayfair.com, according to wayfair’s website.
