Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
Was selling an item on letgo and this individual name Wayne offered to purchase the item but said he was out of town and could send me a certified bank Ck. Everything seemed ok so I gave him an address where he could send the Ck but after this I started to doubt and as I asked him questions to make small talk he would not answer or did not understand. He said he was in Marine training. After a while I directly told him that I researched his number and it was consistent with scams and that I would be reporting him and the number to the proper authorities for security reasons. Said he no longer wanted the item or would send the Ck. Told him I was still going to report. Did not respond.
