Type of a scam Credit Repair/Debt Relief
I received a pre-qualification notice at the home I’ve lived in for ten years. It’s addressed to Rachid Mhamdi; I know no such person. The balance is almost the same as the amount I purchased my home for back in 2008.
I called the number on the letter. I was sent to a voicemail, whereby the outgoing message named a different company. So, I googled that company and left them a message. I’m sure I won’t hear back for a few days, but this is concerning on many levels.
a) My information is obviously being used by someone else
b) The phone number doesn’t go to the company represented in the letter
c) The actual company by that name probably has no idea this is going on.
