I WAS CALLED AT HOME REGARDING IMMINENT UTILITY DISCONNECTION BY *** FOR UNPAID BILLS. I WAS GIVEN THE *** BUSINESS CENTER PHONE # 800-398-2860 AND INSTRUCTED TO CALL TO RESOLVE THE MATTER. I CALLED THE NUMBER AND THE AUTOMATED MESSAGE AND MENU PROMPTS IDENTIFIED THE SITE AS THE *** BUSINESS CENTER.

WHEN I TOLD THE COLLECTIONS REPRESENTATIVE THAT MY RECORDS INDICATED THAT MY ACCOUNT WAS UP-TO-DATE, THEY ABRUPTLY HUNG UP. THEY NEVER GOT TO THE PART WHERE THEY NEEDED MY CREDIT CARD.

NOTE THAT THE CALLER ID RELATED TO THE INITIAL CALL TO MY HOME INDICATED *** ALSO.

I CALLED THE UTILITY DIRECTLY, CONFIRMED MY ACCOUNT STATUS AND REPORTED THE SCAM TO THEM.
