I took part in a "free sample" of an online supplement that was being advertised on social media. I was then billed to my credit card which was said to pay for the shipping charge. The company then sent additional products which was never requested and then billed by credit card $177.97. I never requested these products be sent or the additional expense. None of this was told to the purchaser during the sign up of the "free trial" and it appears to be a way this company is luring people to give them their credit card number so they can bill it without consent.
