I initially received a text message stating my resume had been found on indeed.com.They will pose as actual employees of MERCK & CO! If you Google their names, you’ll find actual employees. They only do ”instant messaging” interviews never Skype or FaceTime. I was offered a remote Admin Assistant position in which they sent me a letter including pay rate, schedule, benefits and compensation info. There were no phone numbers on the correspondence sent from these scammers. They will offer to send you a ”start up check” drawn from a real bank with bogus numbers. Once you have deposited the funds they will then ask you to ”pay for your MacBook” via CashApp, Zelle, or similar. The forms they use look legit. They copied the company’s logo/letterhead/watermark to appear real. They even proceeded to send me a W-4 for completion to further steal your identity! They prey on people who are desperate to change or establish careers! BEWARE!!!!
