Type of a scam Government Grant
I received a call from female saying I have a once in a life time grant. Government only offers once. I would not have to repay it in the amount of $7000. She then asked what store I shopped at. She gave a list of Walmart,Walgreens,cvc,dollar general,family dollar. I choose Walmart. Then gave me instructions to go ASAP to Walmart. I was at an appointment so couldn’t. She gave me the #(2026022691 n a pin #7169763. And return the call. I was able to get his name as Adam Smith. It was very important or I would lose the grant. So I tell my husband he says sounds like a scam. So we returned the call. Now a man answered it got interesting. He was aggressive in talking to us. I gave him my name and spelled it out for him. They sounded Hindi lots of nose in background. Day care sorta. I lied and said I was at Walmart now what then. My husband then asked ok so now what? The man said have you used western union nope. Ok go in stay on phone don’t hang up. Ok. My husband asked what’s the code pin? The man asked do you have a pen and paper. Yes he spelled g o o g l e-p l a y. I laughed ok that’s the pin. Adam says all we need is $150 in a wire transfer which is refundable. Said it’s a grant in the amount of almost $7000. Which earlier the woman said it was $7000. So my husband says ok I’ll go get it from my bank. The man says ok don’t miss out on this opportunity call us back tomorrow. They called asked for me my husband said wrong #and hung up. Please be careful these people are scam artist if it sounds to good to be true it is.!!!!
