I applied for a personal/private chef job, a few days later i received an e-mail regarding a job doing a small party out of town. I was in contact with the "HR Director" for 2 weeks setting up travel plans, on Monday morning i received a text stating that a check would be coming via USPS, i was given a tracking number and instructed to notify him once the check was deposited into my account so he could make travel arrangements. Due to the address on the check not matching up with the address given for the company i was suspicious, i took the check (which came with no stub) to the currency exchange where they confirmed it was counterfeit.
