Type of a scam Debt Collections
Threatened me with a civil suit about a previous debt on my credit. Claimed to be an Attorney’s office. Stated it needed to be settled. I informed it was paid years ago and it was solved on my credit. They stated they just took it off my credit 4 days ago and it would be put back on if I didn’t have a letter stating it was paid with a balance of $0. I checked my credit when I paid it years ago and it was solved with a balance of zero, it is still on my credit as closed with a balance of $0. I called the number that called me, to get the exact name of the company. Claimed to be a mediation office at that time. Both individuals I spoke with were evadsive, rude, and very unprofessional.
