Type of a scam Identity Theft
I opened my computer and a loud peeping noise came on and my computer was frozen, it said it was from Microsoft and to the phone # provided ( I called because it’s Microsoft) he said his name was John and I have all my credit cards and info showing to everyone and I need to fix it fast, he told me to push the windows button on my keyboard and enter iexplore password join.zoho.com so I did and he got into my computer and looked around and said it will be $199.00 to fix it, that is when I hung up and called Microsoft back to complain and they said it wasn’t them I need to call ZOHO ( my computer has things missing ( it’s not working right) and I’m afraid to use it ) the ZOHO Corp said this is happening all the time and told me to send a email to a [email protected] bit I’m afraid to because I’m afraid it will get into my email. They cost me my computer and now I have changed my passwords at banks but I keep checking them it a nightmare. It is effects my daughter bank and school info too
